AWS Secrets Manager
AWS Secrets Manager helps you securely store, manage, and rotate sensitive credentials like database passwords, API keys, and other secrets throughout their lifecycle.
AWS Secrets Manager is a managed service that centralizes the protection of access credentials for your applications, services, and IT resources. It allows you to replace hardcoded secrets in your code with dynamic API calls to retrieve credentials at runtime, enhancing security by eliminating secret sprawl. Secrets Manager supports automatic rotation of these credentials, which significantly reduces the risk of compromise by replacing long-term secrets with short-term ones. This service integrates seamlessly with other AWS offerings (like IAM and KMS) and can also manage secrets for on-premises or multi-cloud workloads.
