ClaudeCodex (developed under the bgagents repository) is a developer utility designed to run powerful coding agents like Anthropic Claude Code and OpenAI Codex in the background. By wrapping these command-line agents into a unified, Docker-ready infrastructure, the tool exposes them through a local REST API, an interactive frontend, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP). This setup lets engineers delegate complex tasks like pull request generation and codebase-wide modifications to background workers, freeing up the primary terminal and simplifying integration with existing CI/CD pipelines.
