Meta's premier visual social platform: connect with over 2 billion users by sharing photos, Stories, and short-form video content (Reels).

Instagram is the Meta Platforms, Inc.-owned social network focused on image and video sharing, launched in 2010 by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. The platform, acquired by Facebook in 2012 for $1 billion, has grown to surpass two billion monthly active users. Core functionality centers on media upload, editing (filters), and distribution across a permanent user feed, temporary 'Stories,' and short-form video 'Reels.' Users leverage hashtags for content indexing and utilize Direct for private messaging, establishing Instagram as a critical channel for both individual connection and major brand promotion.
