Markdown is a lightweight markup language that converts plain text into structured HTML using simple punctuation.

John Gruber released Markdown in 2004 to simplify web writing for non-coders and developers alike. It uses intuitive syntax (like # for headers or * for lists) to produce clean XHTML. This standard now powers documentation on GitHub, discussions on Reddit, and static sites via Jekyll. By prioritizing readability, Markdown ensures that a source document remains legible even before it hits a browser.

### [AI as a Citizen's Governance Sidekick: Building a Practical Accountability Toolkit for Indiana Townships](https://fort-wayne.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_lzBNfCu-WNk)

The Citizen Accountability Toolkit is a practical, citizen-led, AI-assisted guide that helps Indiana residents evaluate and strengthen local government performance in areas like public safety, transparency, and fiscal responsibility." In this demo, I'll showcase the real-world workflow we built: the 0-100 scoring system (with the Jackson Township fire services case study), the Live Interview Agent that turns meeting notes into scores, action trackers, one-page briefs, and APRA follow-ups, plus governance checklists. You'll see it live as I paste sample notes and instantly generate an updated score, brief, and next-step letter—demonstrating a human-controlled system that delivers immediately usable results for civic impact.

### [Operating an Agentic Homelab with Agent Guides](https://seattle.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_wvjI8VfiuMM)

I built a multi-node homelab with layered, enterprise-grade security (passwordless auth, secrets management, host hardening) and an OpenTofu plus Ansible control plane for infrastructure and deployment. AI agents operate it instead of me clicking through consoles. In order to facilitate rapid iteration and configuration I created a new open-standard data format called Agent Guides, which are open, Skill-compatible markdown runbooks. Provisioning a new LXC, rotating credentials, or updating firewall settings are repetitive over time, but the details drift and some of the APIs have undocumented behavior, so a single prompt is unreliable and a fixed script breaks. Plain wiki runbooks aren't ideal because they go stale as soon as the environment changes. What I wanted was documented procedures an agent can follow but still improvise when it hits something unexpected. The guides for my homelab are executed primarily by agents, whose harness leaves an audit log to review afterwards, so another agent may update the guide automatically instead of rediscovering the same problem the next time.

### [Orchestra — coordinating 10+ coding agents without becoming the bottleneck](https://seattle.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_RmodSq4wq2Y)

I built Orchestra, a file-based coordination layer for managing multiple coding agents across repos without manually passing context between them. It turns your codebase into a shared memory + execution system using a structured .orchestra/ directory (threads, plans, decisions, handoffs, sessions), so agents can work in parallel across worktrees while staying aligned. In the demo, I’ll show how I go from problem → research → plan → parallel execution across API/frontend/infra agents, without constantly re-explaining context or micromanaging each agent.

### [Repurposing Cursor as an Expert System for Astrology](https://hong-kong.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_rmtmM_-zJ-4)

I will be taking astrology chart data from the Astro Gold app, inputting that data into the context window of Cursor using a model such as Composer or Sonnet, and then prompting the agent live to demonstrate a reading of an astrology chart. I will use it to read the chart of a famous person or entity (such as the formation of AI Tinkerers HK). The agent will be configured using a Markdown file that educates the agent how to read astrology data. Planetary and interpretative data will be exported from Astro Gold for use by the agent. One of the biggest problems with astrology apps is that they are one directional and lack the all important context necessary an interpretation to properly translate. For example, most existing apps such as Costar, AstroGold and The Pattern are one-way broadcast communication, but lack the ability for a user to interact in a conversational way. By using the data from one of these apps we can provide the background data that is needed for an agent to simulate the functionality of an astrology app. However, using the right prompts, we can then have two way communication with the provided interpretations. For example if the app had provided a reading that said "This will be a high energy day" the onus would fall on the user to try and map this interpretation to its meaning. However utilizing a coding agent, we can tell the coding agent the events of that day, to get an interpretation for that specific contextual data. As a practicing astrologer, I know from experience that the most difficult part of reading a chart is seeing through mountains of seemingly contradictory data. When you add up all of the aspects, signs and houses there is something like 13 octillion possible charts. I originally got the idea for this when I realized that artificial intelligence is adept and analyzing large sets of disparate data. I have used Cursor in live readings, with the client's observation, to assist me in providing recommendations. About me: - Two master's degrees: Information Security Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon. Master's in Business Administration from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. - Currently a founding engineer at an AI cybersecurity startup that provides agent observation and governance - 10+ years software engineering experience in blockchain, finTech, healthTech, e-commerce and banking - 8 years professional practicing astrologer with hundreds of clieints I have a YouTube channel where I talk about the intersection of spirituality and pragmatism. ### [rm -rf salesforce — Claude Runs Deal Flow Now](https://seattle.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_qa7m-04lrlg)

I built a git-backed knowledge base that replaces both my CRM and Google Docs for running an early-stage fund. Every entity — founders, companies, deals — lives as a folder of markdown and YAML. Claude agents are first-class participants: they process inbound emails, run entity resolution, create records, log notes, and commit directly to the repo. A GitHub Actions cron runs nightly, calling Claude Sonnet to synthesize each entity's raw files into a structured materialized summary. I'll demo the full live workflow: forward a pitch email → agent resolves the entity → creates the records → generates a materialized view → commits to git. No database. No SaaS. Just files, Claude, and git.

### [How I use Skills to make coding agents use proprietary libraries](https://boston.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_rwHcgEJSAFU)

Making coding agents use proprietary/internal libraries correctly has been an ongoing frustration of mine. Zero examples in the LLM's training set, no online docs, and internal docs are sparse and lag behind. Not a great environment for a coding coding. Modern "ripgrep" agents work occasionally (when they trace into the source), but are still pretty hit'n'miss. Two weeks ago I found a solution: Skills. Skills are, in a nutshell, lazy-loaded instructions for your coding agent. I've successfully used them to create guides on how to use proprietary libraries and they have worked pretty well for me so far. In my talk I will show you how I structure them and how I think through their creation. If the WiFi is stable, I will also show you an example where I will ask a coding agent to one-shot a small AI chat app using a custom agent SDK that I am building.

### [Your AI Agent Just Designed Its Own Face (And Changed My Dashboard Without Asking)](https://miami.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_9GAOaVwieao)

A demo of how I gave my OpenClaw agent the ability to generate and persist its own visual identity. The agent uses Gemini image generation to create a self-portrait based on its personality, saves the image path to its identity files, and can now reference itself visually in documents, emails, and reports. I'll show the workflow, the file structure (SOUL.md, IDENTITY.md), and the moment I realized my agent had changed its own dashboard avatar without my input.

### [Building a Persistent Memory & Stateful Second Brain AI Agent](https://dhaka.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_kSMaLnvvGGg)

Demonstrating context engineering in practice through Slatekore - an open-source starter kit that gives Gemini CLI persistent memory using Obsidian as the storage layer. 1. State Management Without Infrastructure How to use the file system as persistent state - your Obsidian vault becomes both the agent's memory and its knowledge base. No databases, no vector stores, no MLOps. 2. Context Engineering for Agent Behavior Crafting system prompts (GEMINI.md) and workflow files that define agent capabilities, constraints, and multi-step reasoning patterns. The prompt is the agent's configuration. 3. Tool Use Through Natural Interfaces Connecting the agent to real actions: creating files, managing tasks, building knowledge graphs - all through natural language commands backed by structured templates. Watch a stateful agent capture research, recall context from previous sessions, update its knowledge graph, and execute project workflows - without any model training or fine-tuning.

### [Enzyme - a context server from your PKM system](https://nyc.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_WS0CYHmFIio)

Enzyme is a context server that leverages an Obsidian / Markdown vault's metadata. It is interoperable with the Model Context Protocol (works with Zed and Claude Desktop). With it, you can query by tag, entity, or folder for your most recent markdown notes on the topic, and feed these to an LLM. I have developed Enzyme solo as an Obsidian plugin (where it cites its sources as block embeds) and have gathered feedback from a few users over the course of the past year. However, I use it daily, and have recently broken it out into an app that generalizes to Markdown vaults beyond Obsidian.

### [ML Generated Docs through Video Understanding](https://seattle.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_Rd7nRlt5Gbs)

At Augmend we're developing ways to capture knowledge when devs work. We recently began experimenting with a new feature where we are able to auto-generate documentation just from "watching" your workflow. This allows for things like creating markdown for a how-to wiki without actually having to write anything or capturing the steps you took to solve a problem without taking notes yourself.
