MCP is the open-source standard for securely connecting AI agents (like LLMs) to external tools, data, and enterprise workflows.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) functions as a standardized integration layer: think of it as a USB-C port for AI applications. Developed and open-sourced by Anthropic, this protocol allows large language models (LLMs) to access real-time context and execute actions via external tools like GitHub, Jira, or proprietary databases . It uses a simple JSON-RPC interface to define tools, schemas, and endpoints, which enables AI agents to perform complex, state-changing tasks—such as creating a GitHub issue or running a test script—rather than just generating text . MCP is essential for building agentic AI systems that can autonomously pursue goals and operate within defined safety and permission boundaries .

How does one best bring docs into their coding workflows? Do you copy a long Markdown file and throw it in the repo? Do you use GitMCP or Context7? Do you build your own doc server or use something like Mintlify? I'm gonna go on a bit of a rant about what makes some great docs and how we can all build a better dev tools future.

### [Fullstack Agents with the Vibe Coding Server](https://sf.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_mDjnO--35R0)

We will show how to use a vibe coding server to code 3 fullstack agent apps in under 5 minutes. We will take 30 seconds to set up the Cursor environment with optimized MCP servers for different parts of the stack (LlamaIndex for the agent, CopilotKit for the frontend, Composio for tools). We will take audience requests for the use-case and UI style, and we will build 3 working fullstack agent apps in the remaining 4 minutes.

### [An MCP Server for the BBC micro:bit](https://seattle.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_5Cvg0c_6Rew)

The BBC micro:bit is a small but powerful device, designing for learning and creating with technology. Over 7 million of them have been produced, used by over 30 million students in 70+ countries. In this science fair demo, I'll be presenting an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server I've developed for the micro:bit. Using MCP with the micro:bit opens up new possibilities for students - enabling them to interact with the device through conversational LLMs, going beyond what they can do today with the standard MicroPython implementation.

### [The path from "vibe coding" to production AI infra](https://seattle.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_WFJPEUtFRjY)

Use Claude Code in conjunction with the Raindrop platform to design, build, configure, test & deploy MCP servers and other AI infra. This is accomplished via custom a CLAUDE.md file that enforces a workflow that is internally rigid but easy to evolve. Current flow is Goal --> PRD --> Technical design --> Setup & Config --> Build (API, MCP servers etc) --> Validate --> Deploy --> Test. Flows may be adjusted for different scenarios, TDD for example. Teams of agents working independently on various aspects are another interesting next step.

### [How and why we built an MCP server for our Text-To-Speech](https://las-vegas.aitinkerers.org/talks/rsvp_wtpm60sTRl0)

I will talk about building Hume AI's TTS MCP server (in progress, should be released by May) that we provide to let AI-savvy users use our Text-To-Speech capabilities from a chatbot. The themes are: * You can use technologies like MCP to serve (ai-savvy) users who have sophisticated workflows. Two years ago you would need to build bespoke UIs and APIs to model your users' workflows, but now you can get 80% of the way there by just wrapping your core capabilities with something like MCP and let the chatbot do the rest. * AI Voice is finally here. It's good enough to use in serious creative or professional projects.
