Servos
Servos: precise rotary actuators (motors) for exact angular positioning and control.
Servos are self-contained electric devices (motors) that rotate or push parts of a machine with high precision. They excel in closed-loop systems, using feedback to maintain specific positions or velocities. Common applications include robotics (e.g., controlling robotic arm joints), remote-controlled vehicles (steering, throttle), and industrial automation (valve control, pick-and-place). A servo system typically integrates a motor, a feedback sensor (like a potentiometer or encoder), and a control circuit. This allows for accurate, repeatable movements, often within fractions of a degree, making them indispensable for tasks demanding exact angular or linear displacement.
